Tortoise aka Woodgrain WMNS Nike Air Assault High - #1

For the ladies, check out these sneakers with some old school flavor spiced up by a tortoise shell-like look. Similar to a glossy woodgrain, the tortoise shines in the light and is sure to be an attention grabber.

While these shoes are fly, they also have feminine qualities. A metallic gold is used for the Nike swoosh and Sail is also prominent throughout the upper. The thick white laces that stand out nicely against the brown background. These shoes are available now at select Nike accounts. Via KATC.

  • Undercover x Fragment Design x Nike – blue, white, black colorways
By on December 1st, 2008 | No Comments Comments

    Source of images: here.

Undercover, Fragment Design and Nike have collaborated to design a low top shoe. Their efforts have been made into 3 colorways of blue, white and black. This collection will be released on Jan. 3 in Undercover stores selling in Japan.

Let’s look at the black colorway. The all black shoe upper makes this look formal and traditional in design. However, there is an eye catching white colored Nike swoosh at the side of the shoe lace panel. The inner lining is black colored, giving the sneaker a very uniform look. There is a back tab at the upper heel and a lower panel covering the bottom of the heel. These additional pieces contribute to the features of the shoe upper. The midsole has the proud stamps of Undercover and Fragment all around its perimeter. The front of the toe at the midsole has an extra reinforcement. This shoe has a neat and clean look. It makes a good looking dress and casual shoe.

The white colorway looks clean with only a small speck of color in its Nike swoosh at the side of the shoe lace region. The blue colorway will be a favourite for fans who like blue colored Nike shoes.

  • ACID Meth Vans

TheCrossCustoms is back in business with an homage to sneaker and apparel designer Team Methamphibian. The experienced designer used a pair of Vans high tops to create colorful sneakers in honor of his cutting edge contemporary. These photos were found at TheCrossCustoms Nike Talk post linked here.

The ACID Meth Vans feature checkerboard patterns in four colors. TheCrossCustoms started with a subtle green pattern with black squares on the outside edge of the left shoe. As the viewer’s eyes journey to the inside of the left shoe, a sudden burst of purple awaits. TheCrossCustoms used a similar format for the right shoe by using a subtle blue color on the outside edge and a flashy orange hue on the inside.

TheCrossCustoms will be back with additional customs in the near future. In the meantime, we can enjoy the ACID Meth Vans as documented in the photos below. You can learn more about the influence of Team Methamphibian by checking out the website linked here.

  • Nike Air Max 95 Classic “OG Neon” Re-Releasing!
By on December 1st, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Earlier this year Nike re-released the “Neon” Air Max 95.To the disappointment of many they weren’t quite like the 2005 History of Air release, they were “darker“. But it looks like the Nike Gods have answered all your prayers. The “lighter” classic “Neon” Air Max 95 will be hitting select urban accounts just in time (and I do mean just in time) to make it under your tree. This version is identical to the 05 HOA release in terms of the color way, that is. Retail is still $140 so look for these on or around December 20th. Start saving now because these will go EXTREMLY fast, as I’m sure more older collectors will be out scooping up multiple pairs. Via:SC

The secondary color in each version is white – which can be found on the mid-soles and trim. Via High Snobiety.
