The Air Jordan CP3 2009 is one of the signature shoes of Chris Paul. Chris Paul is the only point guard in the NBA with a signature shoe. This design is the second sneaker for the New Orleans Hornets guard fresh off an Olympic gold medal from Beijing Olympics 2008. This design resembles the XX3. Jordan Brand is using “less glue” for the shoe and using more stitching instead on the side panel.

The toe box is white. On the inner side of the shoe’s toe box, there is a group of perforations. On the inner side of the heel, there is also another group of perforations. The tongue is interesting as there are panels of dark blue (or black) attached. The shoe lace is sparsely strung across the tongue to allow people to see the unique structure of it.

The side panel or midsection of the shoe has one large dark blue panel with machine stitching providing the pattern. There is extra stitching to accentuate semi-circle ring braces. Orange colored thread was used for the stitches. The midsole is white, with some accents in blue/black. If you like the features in the shoe, you will enjoy the overall design.

Saucony and Solebox are collaborating on this extremely distinctive shoe that is set to come out in late September. Both companies are known for push the envelope so the fact that these sneakers are unique isn’t too surprising.

Combining a variety of colors and textures, the Solebox x Saucony Jazz has a unique appeal. Mesh is used on the sides, as it is in many Saucony shoes, and “solebox” is embossed in orange on the black heel. Act fast if you want a pair of this collaboration because only 180 pairs are expected to be available worldwide. Via Sneaker News.

  • Nike Air Trainer Carnivore Customs
By on August 31st, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Revive Customs is becoming well-known for its hybrid sneakers that apply the design of one shoe on an entirely different shoe. Revive recreated the look of “Back to the Future” Nikes on a pair of Air Max 90s that were popular among sneaker fans. The designer is back with another hybrid effort, taking on the Nike Air Carnivore in this round.

The basic design on these Nike Air Trainer 1 SBs was taken from the Nike Air Carnivore. These shoes featured a black/green/white colorway that was easy to duplicate on the Air Trainers. The structure of both shoes was similar enough to make this hybrid effort look easy for Revive. The designer’s execution of small elements like the purple Nike on the Velcro strap and the white/black lines on the outsole show that this sneaker required a great deal of work.

These pictures were found on the Revive Customs blog on Customsnkr.com linked here. The struggle that many artists face when trying to create hybrids is sacrificing originality to stick to someone else’s design. The master mind behind Revive Customs has proven his skill at creating both hybrids and original designs. I like the designer’s hybrid efforts and hope he continues doing this work in the future.

The Nike Air Flight Lite “Lime” has a white colorway, with accents in lime green, black and ice blue. The shoe will be released soon but the date has not been confirmed. The sneaker starts off with a toe box that has dense perforations. The mudguard around the toe box is white leather. Along the side of the shoe, there is a curved strip of black accent. This highlights the midsole and its undulating nature, which is supposed to follow the natural curvature of the foot. The midsole is white with sections that are lime green and ice blue.

The shoe lace is white and threaded through a strong frame. The tongue is in line green. This high cut shoe has a couple of shoe lace holes higher up at the ankle to allow threading of the shoe lace. The midsection of the shoe has large holes in the perforations. Over this, the Nike swoosh is attached. A panel of leather framework goes over half of the Nike swoosh. This frame serves as a part to beautify the shoe and also to strengthen the heel. The heel is a panel of black colored leather. The shoe looks strong, with its structure of reinforcements.

  • Air Jordan XI/XII Countdown Package Official colorway
By on August 30th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

    here

To the surprise of many, Nike.com has updated its Jordan Brand release date, clearing up rumors regarding the official colorway of the Air Jordan 11/12 Countdown Package. Usually such an information wouldn’t be made public until about two months before the release date, but no one is complaining with Nike’s move.

The Air Jordan 11 colorway will be the black/true red-white or Black Red colorway and the Air Jordan 12 the black/varsity red-cement grey. During the past few months, speculation was going around that the XI will be the Space Jams and the XII the Taxis.

The bred XI, although not as coveted as the Space Jam, is not something people will complain about. The hype for this package will continue to be phenomenal, so save some money now and prepare to camp.

The pack will be released on December 26, the day after Christmas, for a retail price of $310. The pictures used of the Jordan XI will not be the completely the same as the shoes releasing with the package because these are only pictures of the previous retros.
