  • Nike Air Force 1 Mid Premium | ACG Inspired

This new Air Force 1 Mid Premium by Nike was released this week. It is sold at the website named Proper.

The shoe upper is made of suede leather, nubuck leather and ballistic nylon. The toe box is ballistic nylon, with a mudguard in pale blue leather. The shoe lace strip is done in the same light blue leather. The lace is pink, which coordinates with the pale blue and black background. The tongue is in black ballistic nylon, with a pink tag at the tip and blue lettering. The lace is thread-like thin and inspired by the hiking shoe’s lace.

As this shoe has a bit of the ankle portion extended up, it includes a shoe strap. This is a nice feature as it helps to hold the shoe lace opening in place. The shoe strap is mild blue. This blue is also found at the segment around the heel. To add a detail, the buckle for this strap is pink colored. The midsole is light blue on its top layer and black on its bottom layer. This black layer stretches down to meet the outsole. I think this sneaker looks nice with the clever interplay of the few basic colors.

  • Real Kid Rock Air Force Ones
By on September 30th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Evolved Footwear created a pair of custom Air Force Ones for Capitol Music Group CEO Jason Flom a few months back. The designer’s work was so loved by the music executive that he commissioned a pair of Air Force Ones for his son. Evolved Footwear’s latest customs are called the Real Kid Rock Air Force Ones and were found at the Nike Talk post linked here.

These customs have some great designs by Evolved Footwear that highlight the exhiliration and high energy of a rock and roll show. He painted a hot red and white guitar on the left shoe that wraps around the heel. The black background fades to white as the head stock gives way to blank space around the corner.

The heel on the right shoe shows what a true guitarist can do on stage. Evolved Footwear used a white background on the heel to let the jumping guitarist (presumably Kid Rock) stand out. The best parts of rock and roll (outside of the music) are represented on this shoe.

I will be back tomorrow with the custom Nikes created by Evolved Footwear for Jason Flom’s wife. The levels of quality and creativity used by Evolved on Flom’s Air Force Ones are surpassed by both of his new customs.

Adidas Forum Mid Cleveland Cavaliers - #1

On Monday, many teams around the NBA had their media day. What follows is training camp and preseason games until the NBA kicks off at the end of October. To help get into the swing of things, Adidas has released these Adidas Forum Mids dedicated to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Seeing how LeBron James plays for the Cavs, these should definitely get some attention.

For an NBA related shoe, these kicks are quite laidback. The color scheme uses the Cavs colors of blue and maroon. The suede look gives this shoe the laidback look, although there is also a bit of leather used throughout.

You can purchase these shoes now at the David Z. website and the flagship store in Soho exclusively for 60 days. Via Freshness Mag.

    Lakai Black Pack - #1

Skaters will like the new Black Pack that is set to drop at Lakai retailers. This pack features three very similar sneakers, all in black colorways. The models include the Howard Select, Koston Select and Carroll Select.

If you like black shoes, these are a good choice. They feature quality black leather and white midsoles. These shoes are very simple, yet somewhat stylish. My personal favorite is the Howard Select pictured above, but all three shoes are relatively simple and similar. Via Complex.

Look familiar? If you said yes, that’s because yesterday we previewed an Air Force II High with the exact same color scheme, which we now know are part of the Game Select Pack. The Game Select Pack draws its inspiration from the Atari CX2600 game system. Like the AF-2, the Blazer premium is composed of black upper with a simulated black wood grain print on the toe box and heel tab. Also, like its counterpart the Blazer wears a white swoosh and wood grain midsole. Scheduled to release in Asia on October 4.
