  • Nike Air Force 1 High Supreme – Grey Cement – Summer 2009
By on December 3rd, 2008 | No Comments Comments

This Air Force 1 showed up on Flight club a couple months ago but no information about them appeared until now. Thanks to marsblackmon22 and TSG, we can shed a little more light about these Grey cement Highs. They are part of a series of cement print Air Force 1s to release in 2009. They feature a grey suede upper with a very interesting cement print. The print starts from the collar completely covering the shoes that stops around the toe box and below the bright white swoosh. Even though these are suede, they will release Summer 2009, so keep your eyes peeled for more details.

  • Nike LeBron VI “Big Apple”

LeBron James supposedly wore the shoes named after him on Tuesday, Nov. 25. The Nike LeBron VI “Big Apple” uses candy apple red perforated leather. The apple theme was chosen to honor LeBron’s favourite city, New York. This sneaker has been released for sale at ARC, Niketown, House of Hoops and other selected retailers in New York City. Each pair costs $140. Some people thought that this candy apple red was the best colorway of the LeBron VI series of shoes.

The toe box is in red, perforated leather. The mudguard is in shiny, red leather and its shoe strap extends over and across the start of the shoe lace region. The tongue is in candy apple red mesh and has a silver-grey colored crest. This feature is unique. At the collar of the ankle of the sneaker, there is a shoe brace with the embossed logo of LeBron James. Instead of an extra panel on the back tab of the heel, there is a shoe trap. The midsole is speckled.

The heel is quite good looking as there are several layers of design. There is a fake switch with a make believe “On” button. I think this sneaker looks good. This shoe is a collector’s item.

  • Nike SB Redwoods
By on December 2nd, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Yassir Rais Creations recently placed these custom Nike SB Team Editions on his Facebook group linked here. The designer decided to return to nature by using the distinct look and color of a giant redwood tree as his inspiration.

Yassir started by painting the eyelets and the bottom of the middle panels in solid brown to provide a nice base for the rest of the shoe. The grains and swirls of a redwood tree are transplanted to the Nike SBs with great care. Yassir Rais used a rich brownish red paint to create well-defined lines with white paint used in the recesses around the toe box and heel.

While the redwood theme on Yassir’s latest custom Nikes is completed with care, I really like how he maintained white spaces throughout the shoe. The choice to keep the Nike swoosh white instead of using color was a brilliant move; the swoosh cuts through the redwood pattern on the heel to make these shoes more dynamic.

    Adidas ZX Racer - #1

Running shoes don’t have to be boring, as evidenced by these crisp Adidas ZX Racers. If you want to add a bit of style to your getup when you are on the track, consider adding one of these two colorways to your kicks collection.

The first colorway features a bright yellow upper that can’t be missed. The other version is more laidback but still vibrant, using a combination of blue and white. Each version has the traditional Adidas stripes that stand out on the side of the shoe and a low key Adidas logo on the tongue and heel tab. Via Hypebeast.

  • Air Jordan 1 High GS – Black-Vivid Blue

Jordan Brand keeps the 1’s coming, this time it’s another kids exclusive. It comes in an OG-esque colorway of black and vivid blue, which looks a little like baby blue. If the vivid blue was, royal blue it would cause a lot of heartbreak for sizes 7 and up but the lighter blue still looks very clean against the black. They also feature a distinct pattern on the sock liner. These are somewhat of a limited release so look for these now at select Jordan Brand retailers. VIA: SN
