New York City skateboarding guru Andy Kessler collaborated with Vans Syndicate team to give rise to these two unique sneakers. Though Kessler passed away last summer before these designs came into the market, he will surely appreciate these releases.

In this pack, the Sk8-Hi as well as the Old Skool is now available at selected stores in black soft suede with its leather upper part sitting on the traditional Vans waffle sole. AK logo can also be spotted on the insole while you can see Kessler’s influence on the heel logo with the New York City and Skateboarding designs.

The New Balance 574 DDC USA features two colorways of different materials. The first pair is made up of Navy suede upper with light Blue mixture, Red inner liner, and a snakeskin New Balance logo and overlay near the collar. The other pair comes in Black textured leather on the upper with mesh toe, tongue, and collar, plus accent of Brown on the heel cap. Both colorways are now available at Mita. [NiceKicks]

The Vans Aleeda is a pretty new design to us, and we aren’t quite sure if we have ever seen it before, a part of us wants to think that we have seen it somewhere before, while the other part of us thinks that we may be thinking of another, similar shoe.We think that this may be a design that has been previously marketed more towards the European sneaker market.

Either way, if you are a fan of the Vans Era or the Vans Authentic, then you may be able to get into this one as it is somewhat similar although features some subtle differences.These shoes are predominantly white on the upper but features trim of dark blue on the mid panel flaps and around the ankle area.There is also a matching dark blue pinstripe running around the length of the midsole.These ones are available now.

We have a feeling that Mardi Gras is going to be a gigantic even this year, even more so than usual with the Saints winning the Super Bowl.Of course New Balance could never have predicted that when they took these shoes to the drawing board, but we can bet that they are jumping for joy right now as these will probably sell like hotcakes when they come out.
