EmmanueLabor experienced a flurry of creative energy recently, producing plenty of customs that will be covered in future MAS posts. The customs that struck my eye immediately were the KAWS Original Fake Nike Dunks posted originally at the Nike Talk thread here. In the last photo in this post, you will see that the KAWS Original Fake Nike Dunks glow in the dark.

The muse for these custom Dunks was clothing designer KAWS who created the Original Fake line for Japanese consumers. KAWS produced Original Fake jeans that glowed in the dark, creating a wild scene anytime some KAWS fans got together at night. The middle panel and heel wrap are finished in a light denim color while the toe is dark denim. EmmanueLabor created subtle designs within the heel wraps including swirls and Xs to simulate the muse’s past designs.

The glow-in-the-dark feature of the KAWS Original Fake Dunks may seem like a nod to a current trend but EmmanueLabor brings new flavor to this played design element. The inclusion of Xs and dark specks on the heel wraps give these glow-in-the-dark shoes a more layered look than the competition. You can reach EmmanueLabor at [email protected] if you want to hype his work or get your own customs.

Nike Sportswear Bespoke Air Force 1 of the Week

There’s no elephant print in this design, but the imprint made by its sole on the sneaker scene is surely greater than that which would be made by a horde of one trillion elephants. The entire number of stars in the classic cannot account for the number of stars seen by sneakerheads under the muighty hammer of this magnificent creation.

This is obviously the star oif the show this year.Pure, proud, and prestigious, these pairs will implantthe power of the masters in your spirit. Don’;t hesitate; if you own just one sneakers, this must be the choice.Via sneakernews.com

  • Genesis Nike Dunk Highs

Interaxionne used myriad influences when creating the Genesis Dunk Highs for the 2009 Clash of the Customizers. The designer cited the Ferrari Testarossa, Suzuki and motorsports in general in his explanation of the Genesis Dunk Highs. The 2009 Clash of the Customizers has opened first-round voting between Interaxionne and kawooool at the website linked here.

Interaxionne removed the familiar Nike swoosh to create a clean slate for his Genesis Dunks. The middle panel and toe box are made from raw carbon fiber found in floor mats and car interiors. The designer used black patent leather for the heel wrap and toe trim to create a textural contrast. White leather remains on the upper heel, toe box border and midsole to frame the darker elements. I am a big fan of the “Xn” lettering on the tongue that lets everyone know this is an Interaxionne original.

The designer was proud that the Genesis Dunk Highs weighed in at a mere 14.46 ounces. These customs capture the blend of luxury and sportiness desired by Interaxionne, making it a strong contender in the Clash of the Customizers. You can get a hold of Interaxionne directly at the MySpace page linked here to give him props and see past work.
