  • Nike Air Force 1 Supreme – ACG Huarache – Spring 2009

    Nike Air Force 1 Supreme - ACG Huarache - Spring 2009 - #1

From the early looks of it, Nike is going to be releasing some slick shoes in 2009. These Nike Air Force 1 Supremes are scheduled to be released in Spring of next year. These shoes draw inspiration for the 20th Anniversary of ACG, and seem to have taken some qualities from the Huarache.

The white on white color scheme works very nicely with these sneakers and the high quality of the detail is obvious. The only color on the shoe is the black logo on the tongue. They also offer a translucent sole. Via Freshness.

  • Nike Air Max ‘95 “London City Pack”

This Nike Air Max 95 “London City Pack” is the newest shoe in the line of the Manchester England’s Air Max 95 collection. Nike named this collection as Nike’s “City Pack.” Please look for this model of shoes at the Nike website.

This shoe has an all black upper in 3 M design. The midsection has silver streaks in a spider web-like pattern. There are gold colored accents overlapping on the London skyline. The pattern looks quite vibrant and striking on the black background. In the midsole, the visible air unit also contains some silver and gold accents. The London and England area code is printed on the inner lining of the shoe.

The shoe lace region has a lace locking mechanism and it looks cool. The ankle of the shoe has a collar trimming that is done in a dense pattern of gold and silver colored area code numbers. This bordering is also seen for the tip of the tongue.

The outsole is black and grey. The center of the sole has a slit with the silver and gold accents. The treads look like a lattice. The back of the heel has Nike embossed in gold on the back tab. I like the silver and gold streaks in this shoe.

  • Funky Town Dunks
    By on December 5th, 2008 | 1 Comment1 Comment Comments

YoaKustoms has had a few custom Nikes presented on this blog, most which featured vibrant colors and wild designs. The Funky Town Dunks make the designer’s other customs look bland by comparison. I found these photos at the YoaKustoms Customsnkr.com blog linked here.

The designer completed these crazy Dunks at the request of a young client who likes the wild side of life. YoaKustoms seems to take a trip into the past with the peace sign on the heel, the light blue/black stripes on the middle panel and the smiley face lace lock.

While the flashy design elements on the Funky Town Dunks catch your eye immediately, I am fond of the calmer spaces. The turquoise toe box surrounded by a pink panel offers serenity in the flashy storm covering the rest of the shoe. I think the Funky Town Dunks show that YoaKustoms has its best sneakers still to come.
