DJ Clark Kent has designed a special model of Nike Air Force One to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Video Music Box. This Music Box played a major role in the introduction of new rap videos.

There is a thick, black midsole. Along the side, the brand name, “video music box” is printed in lighter color. The outsole has a dense thread structure. That would be good to ensure a firm grip on the ground.

The toe box has columns of perforations. This front section is framed by a semi-circle panel of shiny, black leather. The shoe lace region is also made up of this shiny leather. The black shoe lace coordinates with the overall black colored shoe upper.

At the heel, there is a back tab with a rectangular piece of brand label; Video Music Box.The graphic shows a TV and its screen has a picture of a music box. Overhead, there are electric sparks.

The panels of leather at the heel of the shoe contain some letters in the background design. The silver colored Nike swoosh blends well into the background.

This is a classy shoe that will carry the wearer to formal and informal functions.

  • Wu-Tang Nike Dunks
By on July 2nd, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Wu-Tang Clan’s Return to the 36 Chambers was one of my favorite CDs in high school. I loved listening to the hard sound and lyrics of this group as I was driving away from school. Desp1 is appealing to Wu-Tang Clan fans with a pair of Nike Dunks that are as raw as the group that spawned them.

The designer used the original Wu-Tang Dunks as his inspiration. The older Dunks were high tops that featured yellow soles and a slightly different look. The reincarnated versions of the Wu-Tang Dunks are treated with a bright yellow paint that stands out well from the black toe box.

Desp1 recognizes the marketing genius of Wu-Tang clan by adding the group’s W logo throughout the shoe. You can look at the heel, insole and tongue to find the group’s calling card. You can head to Desp1’s MySpace page to check out additional pictures and inquire about the customizer’s services.
