Last year, Nike collaborated with Japanese dance hall and reggae stars Mighty Crown and Minmi. This year, Nike is collaborating with Ryo The Skywalker to create the Court Force Low and High.
These two special limited edition Court Forces are the “Earth” and “Sky.”Both of these sneakers will release in Japan on December 1st.
The “Earth” High (pictured above) features earthtone colors, including black, brown and beige. However the distinct quality of these shoes is the leaf pattern, which is fortunately use sparingly. These shoes are a little gaudy for my tastes, but I’m sure they will please someone.
Th “Sky” Low features a blue and white colorway that combines a variety of textures, including patent and embossed leather. The white leather on the sides is quilted and offers plenty of details. I love the look of the shiny blue patent trim. The white cloud-like details start above the tail end of the Swoosh and travel around the heel.
We’ll give you more details about these shoes as they come available.Pictures and information courtesy of
The bright colors and beautiful bodies on the beach during a typical summer can be distracting enough for the average person. The Nike Air Force Ones pictured here are customized to contribute to a high level of distraction. The customizer began with the basic white Air Force Ones and painted blue, black and yellow blobs in the shoe box.
A distinctive feature of these custom Air Force Ones is the flag of the Bahamas painted on the outside of each shoe. I love the light colors and tribute to the Bahamas on these shoes. The customizer may have been better off painting another flag in the toe box instead of the disorganized stripes that seem a bit disorienting. Nonetheless, you do not need to be from the Bahamas to enjoy these Caribbean themed shoes.
This boot is sold at the Goods website.
This boot is very unique. It is a special release from Nike SB. The designer is Eric Avar. He is a famous footwear designer. He has designed other Nike sneakers like the Air Zoom Huarache 2K4 and 2K5. He has helped the Nike basketball shoes with his input.
This P-Rod and Eric Avar JihRod Boot is very classy. It uses only the black color but its design is good. I like the tongue of the boot. It has the autograph of Eric Avar.
The photos show that the boot is about half-way laced up. This is one style of wearing it. Of course, you may lace it up all the way to the top and use your own shoe laces for this extension. You may try with different colored laces. Electric colored laces might go well with the black boot.
I like the side panel of the boot too. There are two areas carved out. These regions are made of mesh. I would be careful when cleaning and polishing this boot. I would avoid getting polish on the mesh areas.
Nike uses premium leather for this boot. This assures us of getting maximum comfort. This boot can be used in light, winter weather.
The Nike Vandals pictured above and the Nike Dunks pictured below are the two best custom sneakers I have seen in a long time. The creator, AKALazy, goes above and beyond to produce a denim-inspired set of custom Nikes. The combination of deep blue on the outer sole and black and white stripes on the toe box is an impressive feat of shoe design. You will see a small, professional tag with the name Lazy on each shoe which makes you wonder when AKALazy will grow into a bigger name in the alternative sneaker industry.
I am not prone to love fests for any sneaker but the shoes above and below show the unlimited potential of custom sneaker design. Check these designs and others out at the AKALazy website.
A new verison of the Nike Dunk High Destroyers has been released. These shoes are available in a pack with the Dunk High Subzero Down Jacket. The sneakers feature a bordeaux/grey colorway and the jacket resembles a down version of a varsity jacket.
The Destroyers are rich in details with premium bordeaux leather combined with dark grey fabric. These shoes have a lot of regal touches like the Destroyers before them. The midsole is white and the laces are a mix of bordeaux and white with a gold MMVI lace plate. The jacket is dark grey/blue-grey and features waterproof zippers and other nice touches.
I really liked the Destroyers last time around and I’m fond of these as well. The pack is available at
