The Nike Blazer Mid gets a vintage makeover in a Bordeaux. When was the last time I came across a silhouette in perforated suede? This sneaker carries a visage that is a throwback to basketball sneakers of the seventies. The premium suede is colored deep Bordeaux.  What do you make of the Swoosh? Old school, eh? The Kangaroos x Overkill “Abyss” is a collaborative effort limited to only 200 sneakers and is set for a 24th August release. The German store’s take on the Coil R1 is presumably inspired by the colors of the ocean and is called the “Abyss”. The ROOS sneakers, as sneakerheads would know, are best known for popularizing the side pockets on sneakers. Back to the Abyss, the sneakers are a nubuck, 3M, and mesh creation with mesh on the toebox and mid panel.

3M appears on the collar; the lining is aqua as is the ROOS logo on the side and the Overkill logo on the heel. The white midsole contrasts with the black outsole.

Silhouettes from Reebok Classics’ Blacktop Collection of both the mid and high-top variety are on the horizon. An ode to roundball retros, we find two models, the Reebok Pump Blacktop Battleground III and the Reebok Blacktop Battleground Mid, in three distinctive colorways, respectively. While many of the features remain the same between the two models, the high features triangular perforations present on the vamp, and Reebok’s Pump technology. Despite the absence of the aforementioned attributes, the Blacktop Battleground Mid serves its purpose as a casual streetwear option.
