Sitting on 4.0 Free soles, the Nike Free Alt Closure Run is something different from the Nike stable. The Kukini shown here is a cool slip on for those that don’t wish to bend down and tie laces. The aquarium fish-colored upper is constructed of what else…hyperfuse. That’s de rigueur with Nike releases. Available now for Euro 120.

The adidas Crazy Light 3 carries forward the CL legacy; it evokes some similarity in design with the CL 2 but is at the same time a little different. There’s more mesh on the side panels which makes these lighter and more breathable. In terms of technology, we can look forward to a Sprintframe upper shell and miadidas integration.

Nothing really evolutionary in terms of design, but the mesh and panel interplay makes for interesting patterns. These are coming in August and will cost $140.

Look what Nike’s “Beaches of Rio has started. The Asics Gel Lyte V “Brazil” is another pair that shows its love for Brazil. Along with the stars from the Brazilian flag that appear on the tongue, the green and blue colors are a clear ode to Brazil.

The shiny synthetic uppers rest on a thick midsole and a gum base. No word as yet on when these will come out.
