This ECO is green in more ways than one. Not only is this environment-friendly, even the color here is green. To be precise, it is “Green Lake”. White appears on the lining, laces, and midsole. The Nike Kobe 8 Mambacurial takes its cue from Kobe Bryant’s love of soccer. This is a basketball silhouette, no doubt, but look closely and you’ll see the inspiration from the Nike Mercurial Vapor football boot. Take a look at the placement of the Swoosh. Don’t remember the last pair of Nike I saw which had NIKE spelt out so boldly. Don’t know if these will be a Europe-only release. Keep your fingers crossed.

The Nike Air Max 97 EM gets a new colorway this June and this should effectively complete the “Sunset Pack”. The upper carries mesh in black, yellow, orange, and red. The three similar colors used for a gradient effect. There’s black nubuck piping around the midsole and two grey bands on the upper. This particular member of the Sunset Pack carries more black on the body than the others.

The Converse Skateboarding CTS gets two new colorways for Spring 2013, in black and red. These low-cut canvas creations are not unlike the Chuck Taylors but are rejigged to take the strain of hardcore skateboarding.

The black iteration is completely tonal; whereas the red one features white laces, white toecap, white contrasting stitching and black lining on the white foxing. Lunarlon cushioning ensures good comfort. Take a look at the images. You would want to own a pair for the summer.

Bodega follows up its collaboration with Saucony with another one; this time it teams up with New Balance and the silhouette that they have turned their attention to is the New Balance 577. It features pink, purple, and blue accents on a two-tone grey-colored base.

Check out the images of this suede-and-mesh construction which carries an orange-colored “N”. The body sits on a translucent, electric blue sole constructed from rubber. No word on when these hit retail stores, but we’ll let you know as and when it happens.
