The ASICS 2013 Fall GT-COOL makes a re-entry into public consciousness; this model made its debut as a running sneaker and stood out with its split-tongue design; which is a little muted this time round but is still very much there.

Nylon and suede have gone into the making of the upper along with gel to keep the sneakers cool. These are set to arrive in a number of colorways, two are shown here with overlays on a white background. The laces are white as is the midsole. Take a look at the images, what do you think?

  • KangaROOS Blaze Bob Gamm Limited Edition

KangaROOS honors its founder, late Bob Gamm with this limited edition release. The ROOS Blaze happened to be Bob’s favorite model and this one comes with an all black nylon and suede on the upper, a grey sole, and red accents.

The ROOS were a fairly imitated brand in the 80s, particularly the models with little zipped pockets on the sides. I had a pair as well.

Anyway, this edition of the Blaze is seriously limited edition with only 91 pairs being released at the at the Berlin Sneaker Museum, Generation 13. The upper carries black nylon with red accents, the construction rests on a grey sole. A “Bob Gamm” emblem is present on the tongue.

The Radii Simple “Animal Style” gives the Radii twist to a time-tested concept of animal prints. These sneakers feature a black leather underlay on which rests a faux leopard-print. Black rope laces are threaded through the eyelets.

The high tops exude an unmistakable feline grace even as the visage gives a distinct military boot like feel, if only the sole had been thicker and higher.

A white midsole gives way to a black outsole. Take a look at the images. Out now, these are something different. Do these go with your idea of cool animal prints? Let us know.

  • Kicks On Court: Tony Wroten Has Highlight of the Night in Air Pippen I
By on January 27th, 2013 | No Comments Comments

You may not be familiar with Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Wroten or his footwear, for that matter. The former Washington Huskie laced up a variety of Jordans and Nike classics during his time in the Northwest, and with the recent trade between the Grizzlies and Cavs, we should see a lot more of Wroten and his footwear on court. In last night’s win against the Brooklyn Nets, Wroten contributed 11 points off the bench, including a throw down on Kris Humphries, while wearing the Nike Air Pippen I. This is the first time we’ve seen a Pippen signature on court this season, so props to Wroten for wearing these. View these kicks plus more, worn by Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, Deron Williams and others, in today’s edition of Kicks On Court.
