The Asics Gel Lyte III which is a designer’s favorite became Mita’s pick for collaboration. The Japanese sneaker baron plays a significant role in the creation of a new Gel Lyte III silhouette. To start with, the shoe’s upper is composed of all-black components which include a cheetah-printed toe box and tongue, leather overlays, mesh insert, white midsole with black outsole. The Asics Gel Lyte III labels are seen along the heel while on the outsole surface appears a label that reads, “FAR EAST” (left) “TOKYO UENO” (right) which also a common feature on the insoles.

This collab piece is a part of the team’s Kirimomi Project that started a couple of years ago where another set of Gel Lyte IIIs were featured in black upper with speckles and animal-printed midsoles. Mita is now taking pre-orders.
