  • Nike Air ½ Cent – Penny Hardway Hybrid
By on January 7th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

This hybrid shoe first debuted on the cover of latest issue of Sole Collector with Penny Hardaway and a few of the shoes that had a hand in creating the ½ Cent. It was made to honor Anfernee’s All-Star career and to celebrate his time with Nike. “Penny” Hardaway ‘s signature line has been retored full circle in the last year and what a better way to close it out then with a combination ofall his shoes rolled into one super shoe.

The first thing you’ll notice about the ½ Cent is the mostly foamposite upper from the Foamposite I in the original royal blue. The transparent outsole also takes after the Foamposite I. The shoe itself is mainly molded after the Air Penny III but also uses parts of the Air Penny I, II and IV.There is also a black color way in the making. This black and very official royal blue color way is scheduled for a March 2009 release.More info and images after the jump. Via: chajinyoung

  • Nike Zoom LeBron VI (GS) – “Christmas Day”
By on January 7th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

This is not what you expect for a Christmas themed shoe but a closer look at the insole may help better explain this color way. Instead of traditional Christmas colors of red, white and green the colors of this Christmas Edition LeBron shoe was inspired by one of childhood Christmas’.The GS exclusive features a black, white, orange and blue color scheme, a patent black quilted looking textured side panels to go along with a black patent toe box. The rest of the shoe is practically white with some blue and orange accenting, like the white toecap and white swoosh outlined with orange. The only indications that these are a Christmas shoe are the tree logo on the tongue, and of course the insole, which is covered with a picture of “Prince James” ball in hand next to a small basketball hoop. These will release sometime this month (relatively soon) at select Nike retailers in limited numbers. • Nike Sportswear Terminator High Selvage Denim
By on January 7th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

This pair of Nike Terminator Selvage Denim is a continuation of other Nike releases using denim uppers. This Nike Terminator aims to be unique and different from the other Nike denim releases. This is an early sneak preview from Nike as this design may not be out until Summer 2009.

The Selvage denim starts in the toe box. The blue leather frame that is also the mudguard will protect the denim. The shoe lace is blue and blends in nicely with the shoe upper. The tongue is in blue denim, with a leather tag at the tip. The tip is also decorated with a red and white rim.The inner lining of the shoe is blue. The back tab is in a darker shade of blue denim. This part coordinates with the Nike swoosh, also in darker blue. The lower portion of the heel has a blue leather mudguard that looks to be screwed down by a copper stud at the side. The midsole is white to show off the nice blue upper. The outsole returns to blue.

The leather portions of the shoe improve the look of the shoe. The functional use of leather is to help make the shoe more durable. (Image)
