Here’s a look at Nike’s latest Dunk High Premium from their Fall/Winter season. This Dunk High is made up of premium materials including a tweed mid-panel while the rest of the sneaker consists of leather and what appears to be a fur inner lining for Winter. As far as the color scheme goes, black is applied to the to, swoosh, ankle and outer sole with white on the lace area and grey at the back heel panel.

  • PHANTACi x Nike Air Max 1 “The Grand”

    here.

PHANTACi is the shop that belongs to Jay Chou. Chou is an international superstar singer and actor. Chou’s PHANTACi worked with Nike on a collaboration to come up with PHANTACi x Nike Air Max 1 “The Grand.” This shoe takes inspiration from one of Jay Chou’s favorite things; his piano. The colorway of black and white reminds us of the colors of the piano. Chou added his personal touches by introducing some pink and gold. This sneaker is an exclusive design and there are no plans yet for a release for the public’s consumption. The shoe uses patent leather.

The shoe lace is very striking in black and white. The lace looks like the ivory keys of the piano. The collar at the ankle is black. The inner lining is in luxurious, pink material. The Nike swoosh is in pink and so is the outsole. The theme of the piano keys is repeated in the inner sole of the shoe. The long keyboard is provided as a reminder of the how close Jay Chou wanted to keep his piano with him. The back of the heel is in gold. Jay Chou wanted to be well heeled. I’ll give this sneaker a pass.

  • Stars and Glitter Air Force Ones
By on November 6th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Ripp was commissioned by a fellow church member to create a pair of custom Air Force Ones for a young girl named Armani. Armani loves stars and the color pink which Ripp used as his inspiration. The result is a pair of Air Force Ones that stands out from other custom sneakers.

The base colors are pink/black/white to match Armani’s favorite colors. Ripp added clusters of colorful stars on the toe box and heel before stringing a few stars along the side. The notches along the outsole are colored with red, blue, yellow and green shades to match the stars. Ripp painted the name Armani along the side with a combination of colorful paint and glitter to make these shoes her own.

While Ripp’s custom job is flawless, I am most impressed by his use as loose glitter rather than glitter paint. The designer spent nearly three weeks applying glitter and finishing fine touches on these Air Force Ones to get them just right. You can contact Ripp at [email protected] to turn your plain AF1s into a work of art.

  • Custom Nike Dunks – “Haitian Boy” for Wyclef Jean
By on November 6th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Here is pair of customs which are these Nike Dunks which are called Haitian Boy and done for the artist Wyclef Jean. If your into hip-hop, or know anything about Wyclef or the Fugees, then im sure you know how Wyclef is very proud of his heritage and shows it whenever possible. His newest way to show his pride to his native country is through these custom Dunks which Mache design. The design is simple but yet really clean and creative. On the mid panel Mache included the Haitian flag but rather then designing a flat looking flag this one was done to appear as if its blowing in the wind. The shading used to give you that vibe is a really nice effect and adds a lot to the design in such a simple way. On the heel panel ZOE was added which pretty much translates to Haitian Boy.
