  • Nike Air Force One Argyles
By on September 27th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Sole Brother Customs brought color and classic flavor to the Nike Air Force Ones pictured above. The designer took specifications from his client and created a fantastic pair of custom sneakers. These pictures of the Argyles were found at Sole Brother’s website linked here.

The base pattern for the entire shoe is an argyle pattern filled with bright blue and yellow. Sole Brother kept the swoosh and eyelets blue and the toe box white to make the yellow patterns stand out better. If you look at the photo below, you will see custom emblems on both heels. Sole Brother painted the initials “A.B.” and the words “Air Nugget” based on his client’s requests.

While the emblems mean little to everyone but the recipient, Sole Brother ensures that your eyes will drift back to the argyle pattern. The eye-catching mixture of blue, yellow and white is executed flawlessly by the designer. I don’t think it is out of line to say that Nike should produce something as fresh as the Argyle Air Force Ones to bring this design to sneaker fans around the world. In the meantime, we will have to rely on Sole Brother Customs to keep producing quality customs like the Argyles.

  • Nike Air Force 180 Bumble Bee
By on September 27th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Nike has produced a return to a favourite sneaker of all time, the Air Force 180. These have returned to shelves, and this particular one, using the colour scheme of a bumble bee.

Black and yellow have been a great colour scheme on trainers when the right materials were being used and Nike have got it just right with this one. With enough black to keep some sense of formality, but a great splash of yellow along the swoosh and laces and mid sole.

I’d say watch out for these, expect them too go fast.
