  • Adidas Forum Hi – “End to End”
By on December 24th, 2007 | No Comments Comments

Adidas held its End-to-End Forum. It has created a shoe using the classic court silhouette.  The graphic panels have artwork that is taken from a huge picture. The composite artwork of many artists was on this large picture.  This latest shoe is the last in the series of the Foot Locker / adidas collection.

I like the artwork in the original poster of the “End-to-End.” It was not easy to gather so many artists to produce a piece that had continuity. That was truly remarkable work. The artists used creative imagination.

The inclusion of the art in this sneaker looks great. Certain portions were carefully selected to be used for the shoe. It brings out the black accents. The large black cross that runs along the side of the shoe upper looks good against its background of colored artwork. I also like the idea of having the “End-to-End” logo at the center of this cross. The letters are slanted to flow with the shoe.

This sneaker has the best selection of premium leathers. There is one main pattern of perforated leather, the suede and another pattern of perforated leather at the traditional Adidas stripes running down the shoe lace area. This is a great shoe.

  • JGoods Presents the Crisp Khaki Nike Dunk High

I wrote glowingly about the beauty of a JGoods Customs offering called the Furious Flow in yesterday’s post. As I looked through the latest options available at the JGoods website, I noticed the Crisp Khakis pictured above. These Nike Dunk Highs come in at about $700 but lack the same burst of energy as the Furious Flow.

A checkered pattern with gray and blue stripes crosses over the swoosh as it wraps around the heel. The understated colors are fantastic if these shoes were bought off the shelf at a local shoe store. If I am buying a pair of customs for $700, I want some flash to draw the eyes of everyone in the room. The quality of JGoods Customs sneakers shines through with the Crisp Khaki but I can find comfort and a touch of style with an untouched pair of Nike Dunk Highs.

Nike Blazer SB Low - Newsprint /White

Many people were waiting for the release of this Nike Blazer SB Low in Newsprint/White and you can find them right now on eBay.

The shoe is dominated by the dark grey suede but is accented nicely with the white leather Swoosh, laces and midsole. The blue tongue tag and heel features orange lettering, which is a great contrast to the neutral colors in the rest of the shoe. The same orange is featured in the inner lining.

These sneakers are a nice casual shoe that can be worn with jeans or other casual wear. You can grab them from eBay right now for $70 with the Buy It Now feature. Via SneakerNews.

    Nike Vintage Dunks 1

Nike celebrates the anniversary of the Dunk in 2008. The 1st installment of sneakers to celebrate this event is the Vintage Dunk series of shoes. These shoes will be available in Jan. 2008. Please check out the store – Complex.

The Nike Dunk is famous in college basketball.  The new colorways will have the colors of the college teams that wore the Dunks in their games. Some of these colleges include Syracuse, St. Johns, University of Iowa, University of Arizona, Kentucky, N.C. State and U.N.L.V. This Nike project with college colors is called “Be True: The College Colors Program.”

I like the 1st pair the best of all. The dark blue and white colors are formal and this sneaker would look great with formal and casual outfits.

The 2nd and 3rd pairs of shoes look the same, except that their colors have changed. The orange and red look good as a part of the color combination.

The 4th and 5th pairs of sneakers look different.  The 4th pair has a black colorway while the accents are yellow. You can’t go wrong with the yellow-black combination and this pair of shoes will stand out in the crowd. The 5th pair has a yellow colorway. The accents are in grey-blue.  Another feature that I like about these is that their shoe laces match the color of the accents. These shoes look great.
