  • Kobe V pays tribute to Bruce Lee

Nike’s Kobe V (one of the highly anticipated shoes in 2010) is not yet done giving much more surprises. After unveiling the Lakers themed shoe and letting us know that you can customize the colorway, Kobe V has revealed yet another sneaker that fanatics would want to have.

Well this is not really a tribute per se since Nike did not named it after the legend of Kung Fu movies. However, they see to it that it is distinctively Bruce Lee because of the claw marks incorporated at the side of the shoe. These marks were from the Enter the Dragon movie, one of the best films of Bruce Lee.

And of course, the color. Now you are now probably aware that it is not Uma Thurman who popularized the yellow and black suit as they shout “haaa-yyaa!” and break their backs on wooden benches. These are the shades of  Bruce Lee’s infamous Game of Death!

Hope Jacky Chan would also have the same as well. But how can they create a drunken shoe if it will be inspired by the Drunken Master?

  • Asics Gel Lyte III in Black and Yellow
By on December 14th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

Asics recently released a bumble-bee inspired shoe and is currently available at Schuh You. The Asics Gel Lyte III now has a footwear in Black and Yellow. Though the color is more like a hazard sign, many who have seen it said that its like a shoe candy that you just want to fit right in.

Black is the more dominant color and it is well-accentuated with strong shade of yellow that is scattered all over the parts of the shoe. But it would be dull if these are the only two colors for the sneaker, right? That is why Asics also incorporated gray as well which is located at the shoe’s midsole.

Runners must take advantage of this if they haven’t bought any of the Gel Lyte collections from Asics yet. They will no longer need to wear a sign saying “Hey! I’m a human running, don’t bump me!” just in case they want to jog at the sides of the road.

    Get this for only $145!

  • Old school Adidas Superstar gets a makeover
By on December 14th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

Basketball players are not the only ones who are entitled to wear the classics of Adidas. Remember Run DMC, a group of rappers during the 80’s? They were seen sporting the Adidas Superstar on their music videos without the laces on and exaggeratedly sticking out the shoe’s tongue which by the way became a fashion among hip and trying-to-be hip peeps that time.

Now if you want to walk this way (or that way) you might want to don the revamped Adidas Superstar which was called by the JBF Customs as the Refresh STR. The abbreviation actually stands for Shell Toe Reconstruction and you can find it at the tip of the shoe.

Suedes, leather, and velvet are the materials used in creating subtle and clean shoe from the big A. Soles, shell toe as well as the laces remain in pure white while the rest of the STR is in black and bluegreen colorway.

Deep Soul Music or DSM is one of the most popular Drum and Bass record in UK. Recently, they made a collaboration with Lacoste to create a sweet sweet shoe which is now called as the Lacoste Mississippi. Can be used for both stylish formal clothings as well as for partying, the Lacoste Mississippi is made up of brown shades accentuated with orange. Although you can see white shoe laces in this pic, you can get two more extra laces in brown and orange. the tip of these laces have the DSM logo in it.

Combination of suede and leather, Lacoste had their name stitched on the shoe tongue in orange. And in case you want to get a fake version of this, see to it that there is also a DSM logo at the insole to prevent humiliating yourself in front of  the shoe lovers with keen eyes.

Expect the sleek shoe by January 2010.
