  • Ed Hardy Air Force Ones
By on November 1st, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Ripp’s latest customs mimic the colorful designs and familiar skulls of tattoo artist Ed Hardy. The Air Force Ones are size 9 and run $350 but look like they are worth much more. Think about the money you would spend getting this type of ink on your back, shoulder or forearm and you will see that these AF1s are a bargain. You can contact Ripp at [email protected] to pick up your own custom Air Force Ones.

Ripp spent a week’s worth of 17 hour days putting together these Ed Hardy customs. The designer applied vibrant yellows, blues and reds throughout the shoe to make these shoes look like something Ed Hardy would make if he were a sneaker artist. The inside and outside of both shoes feature skulls with hats that match Hardy’s signature symbol from his tattoos and T-shirts.

As readers of MyAirShoes know, I love the fine details on a pair of customs. Ripp sets himself apart from other designers by going the extra mile with small touches like lettering and special shoe laces. Special messages in black lettering like “Ed” or “Love Kills Slowly” bring together the entire design. While the checkerboard black/white shoe laces may not seem like much, Ripp wasn’t taking anything for granted as he finished these shoes. The end result is a vibrant and well-composed shoe that honors the work of one of America’s great tattoo artists.

  • Custom Nike Dunks – “Teal Zebra”

These are the Teal Zerbra custom Dunks which have been done by Tofu. Tofu wanted to try his hand at more animals prints so he decided to give the zebra print a try. I think Tofu did an excellent job on these sneakers. He admits that he likes the colors of the infamous Tiff Dunks so those are the colors he went with for these. The teal matched with the black is defiantly a great color combo in my personal opinion, and i think a lot of you can agree.
