Here is the Nike Retro Horse Hair ‘Basketball’ Pack that consists of a pair of Vandals and Delta Forces that use horsehair materials. The shoes are now available in the US at quickstrike boutique. The Vandal high features royal blue horsehair with faux ostrich on the swoosh and back. Meanwhile the Delta Forces comes with an upper blended with metallic red leather, navy patent, red horse hair, and ostrich touches.

The Nike Tyan running shoe for women is currently available at major shoe retailers throughout the United States. This shoe has a mixture of leather and mesh to keep the Tyan comfortable to runners and walkers alike. Nike has released this shoe with a number of colorways though my favorite is the blue/black/white combination shown above. The best part about the Nike Tyan is that it is relatively inexpensive ($65) compared to similar shoes from other makers.

I enjoy the crossover of Nike’s running and ACG sections in shoes like the Tyan though I wish sometimes they would focus their attention on one section or the other. The Tyan is a successful combination of the rugged design of ACG shoes and the distinct style of Nike running shoes but it is one of Nike’s limited crossover successes. Try out the Nike Tyan even if you aren’t a die hard runner to find comfort for your daily activities.

  • Osiris and Consolidated Skateboards Spoof Nike with The Drunk

I have spoken a bit in the past about the efforts by major shoe companies to muscle into the skateboarding industry based on name recognition alone. The action sports company Consolidated Skateboards and skate shoe company Osiris have teamed up to create a satirical version of mainstream sneaker shoes with the Drunk. This shoe is available now in skate shops around the United States.

The shoe is a standard skate shoe with patent leather from heel to toe. The large yellow banana that streaks across the outside of The Drunk shoes the light hearted nature of the Osiris/Consolidated Skateboards collaboration. If you are looking for a statement and a skate shoe, The Drunk seems your best option. The only issue I have with this effort is that Osiris and Consolidated Skateboards are preaching to the converted. Skateboarders and action sports fans likely dislike the corporatism of Nike and Adidas already. In the end, you may be able to spark conversation and retrieve skateboarding from the jaws of corporate giants with a single purchase of The Drunk.

  • The Keep Fall Collection

The current collection of fall casual shoes for Keep is an affordable option for people who need a shoe to fit their style. The ten styles put out by Keep in September 2007 are diverse enough to draw the eyes of even the most fickle shoe fans. You can see in the picture above the mixture of a subtle colorway with an upper made of corduroy that sets Keep owners apart from shoe traditionalists.

One of the best reasons to purchase one of these styles by Keep is the price. Most of these styles hang between $60 and $90 USD so you can keep more money in your wallet to buy a matching outfit. More importantly, you can find a pair of Keeps in any major shoe store throughout the United States. While shoe lovers enjoy the rare and exotic, they also need a pair of everyday shoes that won’t force them to get a second job.

    Ato Matsumoto Cow Hide Boot

These boots were made famous when rapper Kanye West wore them in his music videos. They have front openings which are fastened by velcro. This facilitates wearing of the boots. The velcro allows the adjustment for a tight or loose fitting. These boots come in only two exclusive colors of black and white. The shiny finish accentuates their impact as classic boots.

I think this collection of boots will win more fans for boots. Due to its design of the front openings, it appears to be like a pair of sneakers. The high cutting at the ankles is the trademark of boots. The boots protect the heels and ankles while maintaining flexibility. The front openings allow some scope in the capacity of the boots to bend at the front.

The leather boots comprise of patent leather and regular premium leather. These boots are slated to be released for sale in the U.S. and Europe in Jan. 2008. However, Oki-Ni will accept pre-orders.

The boots look dandy for dancing. They would look great with black and white color co-ordinates. I would suggest black boots for white bottoms and vice versa. The shiny texture delivers impact and the wearer has to be careful that the boots don’t steal the show entirely.
