  • Air Jordan XX from the Countdown Package
By SneakerFreak on July 30th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Last month we brought you pictures of one-half of the much awaited Air Jordan XX/III Countdown Package. Now here’s a look at the other half. Pictures of the Air Jordan XX that will be releasing as part of the Air Jordan XX/III Countdown Package have recently surfaced and we are here to give you a preview. Unlike the previous colorways of the Jordan XX, these will feature lasering all over the show, similar to the dub-zeroes. The most striking aspect of the shoe is the colorway; it is jet black with no hint of other colors in it. They sort of remind me of the Black Cat colorway that we’ve seen with other Air Jordan models. For some reason, I’m not feeling the all black. The previous AJ 20 colorways are definitely better.

  • Air Jordan CDP 5/18
By SneakerFreak on July 30th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

The 7th installment of the Jordan Countdown series is set to release in late August . The Vs from the pack are a PE pair of 99 Fire Reds (as some call them). They are identical to the 99 release except for the jumpman on the heel (of course) and the 23 on the bottom right side. The XVIIIs are dressed up in what looks to be black suede with a red mid sole and sock liner and a white jumpman on the front flap. These will be $310 mens and $210 for grade school. Check back for more info.

  • Hold on There! Air Force Ones
By SneakerFreak on July 30th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

My post yesterday explored the darker side of Alejandro Giraldo’s work at the Colombiamoda design fair. The Air Force Ones posted above showcase Alejandro’s ability to blend lighter colors with stark images in the span of a single shoe. These sneakers are dubbed Hold on There! due to the octopus that unifies the left and right shoes.

Alejandro broke down a major design barrier by creating an octopus that spans both shoes. The left shoe features the head of the octopus glaring at the viewer through beady yellow eyes. The wearer can touch the heels of both shoes to find that the octopus reaches well into midsole of the right shoe. Alejandro shows the cruel nature of the sea by adding some dripping blood to the Nike swoosh.

This Colombian designer shows his love again for Nike by adding the words “Just Do It” in white across the blue front panel. These photos were found at Alejandro’s Flickr page linked here. Readers can contact alejandrogiraldo1@gmail.com to ask the designer about his influences and availablity for custom projects.
