Methamphibian and SBTG – Skulls of Saigon Misfits Dunk Lo. Customized sneakers.

Methamphibian and SBTG are two international brand names who do customizations for sneakers. They have collaborated together to produce a theme called “Skulls of Saigon”. They have released a Misfits Dunk Lo sneaker that features this theme. This customized sneaker requires a lot of work and thus the quantity that is available is limited. This sneaker is sold at the Methamphibian Online Store. It sells for a cool $600 per pair.
I enjoyed looking at this graphical artwork. The illustration is suitable for the bold and brave at heart. The huge skull has a special sizzle painted on. This stroke of genius creates a different meaning and interpretation to a dead skull.
The pink sparks fly to the rest of the shoe. The artwork is so well done that one can’t see at first glance what is the background color or colorway of the shoe.The Nike swoosh is also well hidden and the graphic takes its place of importance on the shoe.
The jagged edges of light green are very well painted on the base of black. These portions look alive and vibrant.
The design, “Skulls of Saigon”, is a cheeky one. The artist has included the “SOS” to call for help. To wear this design is akin to wearing one’s conscience on the feet.
