  • Ice Cream Board Flip II from JGoods Customs
By on August 1st, 2008 | No Comments Comments

JGoods Customs has teamed up with rapper Pharrell Williams to produce a pair of Reebok Board Flip IIs with an ice cream shop theme. The Ice Cream Board Flip IIs maintain the same heel tag with a mischievous ice cream cone with cross bones as the original shoe. JGoods added a white/green/black checkerboard pattern from heel to toe in accordance with Pharrell’s wishes. The best part of the Ice Cream Board Flip IIs is the frozen fringe applied to the collar, eyelets and heel. This icy layer is instantly recognizable by kids and adults around the world who love an ice cream treat on a warm day.

The estimated retail price on these Reeboks is $1,100 which makes sense for the months of hard work given by the designer behind JGoods Customs. JGoods Customs has additional pictures of these customs on its blog linked here. Check out this blog before the ice cream melts off these custom Reeboks and the summer comes to an end.

Nike Air Yeezy By Kanye West - #1

We have seen these shoes on Kanye West’s feet time and time again, but never any clear photos. Now, you can finally get a good look at the Nike Air Yeezy.

The black version uses a lot of different textures for a pretty sweet look, but I’m not fond of the beige shoe. Here’s the details:

“The Air Yeezy is inspired by Kanye’s love for high top designer shoes, drafting from the collar molding seen in the Air Jordan V and featuring a thin midfoot strap hardly meant for support. While originally conceptualized atop a Dunk midsole, the final version of the Yeezy features the familiar shared tooling from the Jordan III and Air Revolution, which most recently was also featured on Jordan Brand’s Spiz’ike and a lesser known model that deservedly flew under the radar, the Flight 48. It’s also the bulkiness of the shoe’s tongue that stands out most, with West always opting to pop the tongue and leave the waxed laces loosely tied. An ode to his tour, the model’s outsole also actually glows in the dark, as similar to a common glow stick, if the shoe is held near light, the familiar green glowing hue will radiate afterwards out from under the shoe. This black/glow colorway features a ridiculously high quality full grain leather along the heel quarter, with rich suede making up the toe and midfoot overlays and patent leather highlighting the dominant midfoot strap.” Via Solecollector.
