  • Puma and No Mas Collaborate on Seattle-Themed First Rounds

    pumafirstround_nomas.jpg

Puma and No Mas have collaborated on several shoes as written up by my fellow posters in the past few months. The newest result of the Puma/No Mas marriage is a pair of First Rounds with a Seattle theme. “The Lottery” theme from a past collaboration remains with these First Rounds including a reference to “The Lottery” and No Mas on the inside of the shoe’s tongue. Lottery balls with random numbers are punched all over the white leather to complete the collaboration.

The overriding Seattle theme is created with yellow/green colors that represent the Seattle SuperSonics. The yellow/green laces work well with the green Puma symbol and yellow outsole on these First Rounds. The SuperSonics may be splitting town soon but these shoes will give sneaker fans a stylish memory of the franchise’s history.

Anyone in the Seattle area that is interested in picking up these First Rounds should head to GOODS Seattle, 1112 Pike St the morning of April 30th. There will be a small number of Puma/No Mas Seattle-themed First Rounds available so get in line early.

Nike Dunk Hi Supreme ‘08 - “Euro Champ” -side view
This new Nike Dunk Hi Supreme is created to commemorate the Euro Champs. It is sold at Atmos and costs 18,000 Yen for each pair.

This year is special because of the new ruling. The European Athletics Championships will be held every 2 years from 2010 onwards. Previously, it was held once every 4 years. The aim is to increase the popularity of the Euro Champs sports outside the Olympic aand World Championship years. This announcement was made by the European Athletics.

This sneaker has a special toe box that is densely perforated. The same section of the toe box extends up to the end of the tongue. The shoe upper is white. The Nike swoosh is a bright dash of red. The tongue has red and blue colored accents. The inner lining has blue accents. The shoe lace is white to complement with the shoe upper.

The midsole of the shoe is a highlight. It has alternate red and white colored checks. This resembles the flag used to start off racing car races. The outsole is blue.

I like the classic design of the shoe. The midsole is striking but the look is balanced with a clean shoe upper that has only white color. I think that this sneaker can be used for formal and informal purposes.
